I stayed up for the update and it's currently 2 am. I've been playing Guild wars for about 6 hours straight and when the update came it was a balst to play. Lot's of faction. I'm new to faction and within 1 hour I jumped from 800 to 1200. It was amazing. So much fun to play. No more spirit spammers in the Tombs now, PVP is actuallys so fun to play now. Sucks the PVPX is a temporary fix.

Yes I also noticed not a single spirit team in about 2 hours after the update in the tombs.

Wish my warrior could actually enjoy some organized pvp. Oh well, not why I bought the game.

Wish I could try the balance changes, eventhough I don't find them too impressive besides the much needed spirit change. In the middle of moving out.

Its really cool BUT. Before the patch there were three main builds: air spike, spirit, and smite. Air spike and spirit were nerfed. Smite, however was not. All the teams I see now are smite. Its probably the new in. Oh well :P

The rate is about the same as inside PvE right now. I would call this event "PvPN" or "PvP Normal".

Its a step in the right direction, but according to my calculations at least x10 is needed to balance things out.

I really hope they don't think that they will be able to revert everyone back to the their old faction numbers after this event... a lot of people have tasted this awesomness and will not part with it quietly.

What do you mean a temporary fix??? o.0 I thought it was just the faction increase that was temporary?

Are all the nerfs temporary too??? Are spirit teams going to be allowed 2 fertile seasons at once again??? Will they continue walling us out of important areas???

The skill changes are permanent (until more changes are needed anyway). The faction is for the weekend only. The NR nerf just opens up some other abusive builds, but for now, it seems better.

If ANET sees that many more people are playing PVP with better faction rewards, I hope they might consider implementing the weekend only faction rewards on a more permanent basis.

They've said in a couple interviews that they will be watching the data to see how the faction increase affects balance. I'm sure the "numbers crunchers" will be working away on Monday analyzing the weekend's data. Hopefully, they'll see that it was good and didn't negatively affect things and implement it permanently.
